Final approval workflow
Approval is the moment a draft is signed off as ready to publish or deliver. In Magpiie the approval is recorded against a specific version, with a timestamp, so there is never a question about what was agreed.
Approve a draft
- Open the latest version of the draft.
- Check that every Must Fix comment is resolved. Suggestions can stay open or be set to Won't fix.
- Choose your decision: approve, request changes, or leave it pending.
- The decision is recorded with your name, the version, and the time.
Readiness indicators
Readiness indicators show at a glance whether a draft is approval-worthy: whether all critical feedback is resolved, and which issues are still pending before the next review. Suggestions are shown separately from blockers.
PlanDraft readiness indicators are available on Studio Crew and Enterprise.
Who should approve
| Situation | Who gives the final approval |
|---|---|
| Solo creator with an editor | The creator. |
| Production team | The producer or production manager. Their approval is the formal sign-off. |
| Client or brand work | The client contact named at kickoff, after the internal team has approved. |
After approval
- Members can download the approved file, on plans that include downloads.
- The approval stays on the version as your record: "did we sign off on v3?" takes one look to answer.
- On Studio Crew and Enterprise, the activity log shows every approval alongside uploads and shares.
