Creating your first project

A project holds every draft, comment, and version for one piece of content or one client engagement. Setting it up well takes a minute and saves a lot of searching later.

Create a project

Sign in to the Magpiie app and open your workspace.
Create a new project and give it a name people will recognise, such as Acme spring campaign or Podcast S2 E14.
Invite the teammates and clients who will work on it. See Inviting team members.
Upload your first draft. See Uploading your first draft.

How to organize projects

There is no single right structure. Pick the one that matches how your work is delivered:

Organize by	Works well for
Piece of content	A YouTube video with its script, thumbnail, shorts, and audio all in one project.
Client	Agencies and freelancers. Each client sees their own project, not the rest of your workspace.
Campaign	Brand work where many assets ship together, such as ads in several cuts and sizes.
Series or season	Podcasts, courses, and episodic shows with a steady cadence.

Project limits by plan

Free: up to 5 projects and 3 versions per project, for up to 2 members.
Creator Crew and Studio Crew: unlimited projects and versions.
Enterprise: custom limits, plus client workspace management.
