Reviewing thumbnails
Thumbnail drafts open as an image. Click any spot to pin a comment to it, and review several variants side by side to pick the winner.
Leave feedback on a thumbnail
- Open the thumbnail draft.
- Click the spot on the image you want to comment on: the face, the text, the logo, the background.
- Write your note, tag it (usually visual, text, or graphics), and submit.
- Reviewing variants? Compare them side by side and mark the winner.
Each comment stays pinned to its spot, so the designer knows exactly which element to change, even when there are ten notes on one image.
What to check on a thumbnail
- Readability at small size. Most people will see it at a fraction of its full size.
- Text. Few words, large, and not repeating the title.
- Focal point. One clear subject, not three competing ones.
- Contrast. Does it stand out against the page it will sit on?
- Brand and sponsor rules. Logo placement and anything a partner needs to approve.
